For those who don't live in Sunnyside - I know, it's a weird name for a parade!! They take all the tractors, semis, farm machinery, and fix them up in lights and Santas and all kinds of decorations! It actually is pretty amazing! A friend said that this year brought in 30,000 people to watch! Keanu, Keira and I watched with friends, sipping hot drinks and munching cookies. Afterwards we walked down to town center to see the ice sculpture and big tree. It was pretty warm compared to last year, about 35-40 degrees and dry (last year it snowed and we froze our petuties off)
oh I love that parade! the christmas before i moved to nome i convinced my family to drive to sunnyside to watch it. it was fun, even though my brothers grumbled about it being cold the whole time. hehe good times! =D
I guess the best way to describe our family is caring, organized, energetic, free spirited, and slightly bonkers in a goofy way. With 3 boys (ages 4, 3, and 1) life gets pretty wild and crazy sometimes. But Keira (age 9) kind of tames things down with her little-mother synrome. We enjoy dancing in the living room, playing outside and getting dirty (that's for the boys!), nail painting and doing crafty activities (there's Keira) and outdoorsy activities like bike riding, swimming, and camping (for us all!). Generally we do everything together when Daddy is home. I am grateful to have these 4 incredible children (sometimes sweet and sometimes sour, but always delicious!)

Hey, aren't hot drinks against the word of wisdom?

The parade seems to get better every year! Thanks for sharing your photos.

I am sad I missed the parade this year - - we were gone for funerals. Next year!
